Keep Kids Warm is Treasure Valleys largest  coat drive and fundraiser to assist in need families with their gas bills during the winter months.

In our 2017 Auction, we raised over $53,000 to Keep Kids Warm!

We can’t wait to see you next you next year!

How it was born

Keep Kids Warm started by a phone call to the KIZN KISSIN 92.3 studios in December of 1996. The station was contesting for cash when a phone call came in from a young girl who asked:  “If I can’t win the money, can I win some heating oil for my family…our house is cold, and we just want to be warm for Christmas…” Kissin’ and  their listeners immediately  took action.   That call generated an outpouring of calls and donations, and before that morning was over, an account had been set-up, and Keep Kids Warm was born. That year around $17,000 was raised, and the money not only helped the girls family, but several others around the Treasure Valley. Listen to the original Call (edited for time)

How it Works

Funds are raised through station sponsored events & donation options inserted through all billing from Intermountain Gas. Keep Kids Warm is in full swing accepting coat donations at designated locations & accepting auction items for the annual on-air auction December 11th-15th. Like last year, the auction will include, guitars, and other autographed items by famous country & sports stars!
From 1996 to 2017 we were able to raise over  $1,000,000 and collect thousands of coats!
