87-year-old Nampa Man Killed in ATV Crash

 

Police say an 87-year-old man succumbed to the injuries he received during a crash while on his ATV in Nampa.

The man, identified as John Kinghorn of Nampa, was driving east on Ustick Road Thursday morning on a 2014 Honda ATV when police say he struck a Ram pickup attempting to pass him.

The crash happened on Ustick Road between Northside Boulevard and Midland Boulevard.

Kinghorn was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. He succumbed to his injuries later this afternoon.

CBS 2 News reports, Kinghorn was not wearing a helmet.

The roadway was blocked for two hours while the crash was investigated. Idaho State Police was assisted by the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Nampa Highway District.
