U of I tops Idaho’s Colleges and Universities for Most “Bang for the Buck”

Moscow (670 KBOI News) – Many parents save for years to send their kids to college…others struggle and hope they can afford it.

So personal finance website Wallet Hub is offering some help.  They ranked the top 1,000 colleges and universities in the nation in terms of best bang for the buck.

Analyst Jill Gonzalez says the University of Idaho was the top of the rankings of Idaho schools.

“At a place like Boise State, students are making under $40,000, five or so years out,” said Gonzalez.  “If you graduated from the University of Idaho, you’re making about $12,000 more than that.  So that’s what we say when really looking at ‘bang for your buck’.”

NNU was number 2, and Boise State came in third.

U of I was number 315 in the nation, while no other Idaho school scored in the Top 1,000.
