Treefort: Bands, Beer, Food, Tech…and Traffic

Boise (670 KBOI News) – As you may or may not be aware of, there’s a pretty big event happening in downtown Boise this weekend, so if you’re not a fan of crowds, it might be a good time to visit family or friends out of town.

The 8th annual Treefort Music Fest will have thousands of music, tech, food and beer aficionados from across the country packing into downtown, and that means as of this afternoon there are road closures, says Natalie Shaver with ACHD.

“Motorists should expect some road closures downtown this weekend, for Treefort,” said Shaver.  “So 12th Street between Main and Front, and Grove Street between 11th and 14th will be closed, that means that there will be no parking on those streets.”

Shaver said they don’t have any official recommended alternate routes, just that if your commute or weekend plans might involve driving through or near downtown, do some planning in advance.

About 450 bands from across the nation will play at this year’s Treefort.
