Americrete Ready-Mix Concrete considers expansion in Nampa

Canyon County has approved a tax break for a concrete manufacturing company considering a multimillion dollar expansion in Nampa.

The Idaho Press reports, Americrete Ready-Mix Concrete is planning a $7.9 million project at on Flamingo Ave.

The proposed manufacturing plant would include an 80,000-square-foot building to Canyon County.

Canyon County commissioners Tom Dale and Leslie Van Beek approved a five-year property tax exemption for Americrete on Monday.

If Americrete, previously referred to as “Project Charlie,” does decide to build in Nampa, the project will bring at least 48 new jobs to the county by 2020.

Salaries for new employees would range from $13.05 an hour for general laborers, to $22.91 an hour for welders.

The company — which has divisions around the country — may relocate corporate offices to Nampa as early as 2021.
