Meridian man sentenced to 120 months for attempted coercion and enticement of minor

A Meridian man was sentenced to 120 months for attempted coercion and enticement of a minor.

Vincent Ingolia was sentenced after posting an advertisement on Craigslist seeking a young girl for sexual activity.

A Homeland Security agent responded to the ad, posing as a 13-year-old girl.

In emails, Ingolia offered to pay the minor in exchange for sexual contact and made numerous statements intended to entice and persuade the minor into meeting with him.

Ingolia went to a location to meet the girl but fled the scene.

CBS 2 News reports, after an investigation, agents tracked him to his home in Meridian.

Ingolia will be required to register as a sex offender.
