Anyone who wants to give their input on Boise’s budget will have their opportunity this week.

The Boise City Council will be holding a public hearing 6 p.m. Tuesday on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2020.

This includes funding for new police offices, a tax increase and programs that will address public transportation and affordable housing issues.

The Idaho Press reports, those interested in testifying can sign in on the sheet located outside of the council chambers before the meeting begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night.

All comments will be accepted as part of the record and will be provided to council members for their consideration prior to next week’s meeting.

The budget is expected to be adopted in August.
