Fee Increases Possible for Downtown Boise’s Public Parking Garages

Get ready to pay more for monthly parking in Downtown Boise’s public parking garages.

The Capital City Development Corporation said during its August meeting it plans to raise rates for people who use a monthly parking permit.

BoiseDev.com reports, the rates for each of the seven garages CCDC owns or manages would go up for monthly parkers more than 11.4%. A monthly pass would rise from $175 to $195.

Four other garages would see a more modest increase, just 3.5% – up $5 per month from $140 to $145.

The proposed parking rate increase would go through a public hearing process before approval, which could happen this winter.
