Local Red Cross volunteers deployed to help following Hurricane Dorian

Four Red Cross volunteers from Idaho are deployed to the East Coast to help out with Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. And more are expected to head out in the days and weeks to come.

Two volunteers from Boise have deployed to Florida and will help with setting up shelters.

KIVI TV reports, two others –- another from Boise and one from Meridian –- have been sent to Georgia and will help out with safety, logistics and training there.

The American Red Cross says it is working around the clock to help people who have been forced to evacuate.
