Garden City murder suspect due in court today

One man is dead and another is behind bars following a murder in Garden City on Sunday.

The suspect, Emerson Buck, was arrested on the corner of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Chinden Boulevard after running from police.

Garden City Police tell CBS2 that Buck will be charged with 2nd-degree murder, plus obstructing and delaying a police officer.

Buck’s neighborhood in Garden City is normally quiet, according to the people who live there.

The Garden City Police Department told CBS 2 News they spent Monday collecting evidence on the case.

Buck will make his first appearance in court today (Tuesday) at 1:30 p.m.
