Meridian Police looking for missing man

Meridian Police is looking for a missing man.

Deputy chief Tracy Basterrechea told CBS2 on Wednesday that officers are looking for Matthew Fonseca. The department was contacted on Sunday after his roommate said they last saw him on Jan. 29th.

In addition to not being seen by the roommate, police say he’s failed to show up at work.

It was believed that he was planning to drive to Owyhee Reservoir in Oregon. He drives a white Ford Explorer with Idaho license plate 1A267FW.

His roommate wrote on social media that Fonseca also enjoys visiting Arrow Rock, Swan Falls, Stack Park, and the Lucky Peak areas.

A photo of the man is available at KBOI.com.
