Boise State Baseball in first home series in 40 years sweeps Northern Colorado

Boise State baseball fans had their first chance in decades to a see a Bronco team play at home.  Led by Travis Weston, 3,279 were treated to a shutout win by the hometown squad in a 4-0 win Friday night.

Weston (1-1), a redshirt sophomore, spun seven-shutout innings Friday night, while striking out 10 in the winning effort.

On Saturday, the Broncos took both games of the doubleheader, winning the opener 5-4, and following that with a 12-9 victory in the nightcap.

On Sunday, three pitchers combined for a one-hitter and Boise State completed a four-game sweep of Northern Colorado with an 8-2 victory.

Boise State continues its 11-game homestand Friday against Seattle U with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
