Tuesday’s Primary Could Set Record For Turnout

Tuesday was Primary election day, but it looks a lot different than any we’ve seen before.

If you already submitted your request for an absentee ballot, you still have time to vote. Just make sure your ballot is at your local elections office by 8 p.m. on June 2nd. That’s the deadline – and when all the ballots sent in will be counted.

Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane says he expected this election to see a bit lower turnout, but they have issued over 116,000 absentee ballots for this election. If they all come back, it would set a record for voter turnout.

He says, they’ll be processing the new requests today and mailing out the final ballots. If you come across any issues when you get your ballot you can give them a call.
