Fireworks canceled for Eagle Fun Days

The City of Eagle announced in May that Eagle Fun Days would be modified due to growing concerns of the pandemic.

The last straw was pulled Wednesday when the city announced the fireworks show would now be canceled too.

CBS 2 News Reports, the drive-in style event was planned to allow for social distancing. However, with Ada County’s latest Stage 3 roll back restrictions, the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation revoked the permit for Eagle Island State Park.

The park is where the city planned the July 10th event.

“We are disappointed with this outcome and know many of our residents will be as well. We hope to make it up to everyone with a bigger, better celebration next year for Eagle’s 50th Anniversary”
