The wildfires in and around Idaho have caused poor air quality in recent days, and that is expected to continue today.
The official AQI or Air Quality Index is 147 today which puts Boise in the Orange category – which is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups. The AQI over the weekend was around 160 and had the Treasure Valley in the Red category – which is considered unhealth for everyone.
During these days of heavy smoke, you should consider wearing a mask outdoors, and running an air purifier inside your home. You should also keep the windows closed, to keep the smoke out.
