Nampa Police investigate teen shooting

 

Early Sunday morning, Nampa Police received a call of gunshots in the area of 200 block of High St. in Nampa.

Police say officers found a 16-year-old lying in the street. The teen appeared to have been hit twice as a result of the shooting.

The teen was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. He is expected to survive.

Nampa police detectives are still investigating. At this time, the motive of the shooting is unknown and police are unsure if the incident was gang-related.

Nampa Police believe there were several witnesses who may have left before the police arrived.
