There will be a unique request made today at the Statehouse.

Rep. Muffy Davis of Ketchum will ask the House of Representatives today to suspend the rules and allow her to work remotely during this session.

Rep. Davis, a paraplegic with compromised lung function, Rep. Sue Chew of Boise, who has diabetes and hypertension, contend that conditions at the Statehouse during the pandemic violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.

They want a judge to order Speaker Scott Bedke and the Legislature to allow lawmakers to participate remotely and to make other coronavirus-related work accommodations.
