Police searching for suspect after stabbing at Wahooz in Meridian

A 14-year-old boy was stabbed at Wahooz Familly Fun Zone on Saturday while the suspect remains on the run.

Meridian Police says officers were called out to the Wahooz just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday for a possible stabbing. Police say the teen was stabbed by an “unknown male suspect.”

He was wearing a black shirt and took off in a black BMW with 2C plates.

“At approximately 6:25 p.m. there was an altercation between two groups of young adults at Wahooz,” Wahooz said in a statement. “A male was stabbed in the side. He was responsive and conscious when transported by ambulance. Wahooz management is cooperating fully with authorities in the investigation. The safety of guests and employees was not compromised at any time. Wahooz remains open.”

CBS 2 News reports, the 14-year-old was transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
