The longest legislative session in Idaho’s history is finally over – at least for now.
The Senate did Sine Die. However, the house voted only to stand in recess, meaning the legislative bodies could call themselves back into session this year.
It’s much more common for both the senate and house both to Sine Die, marking the traditional conclusion to the session.
This session might be best remembered for it’s two week break due to several house members and staffers being sick with COVID-19. It may also be remembered for the Ethics Committee recommending Rep. Aaron von Ehlinger be censured and suspended after he was accused of raping an intern.
