Everyone knows the Boise housing market has surged in recent years. Rents here are rising at the fastest pace in the nation.

Now a new report says our house-sale prices are the fastest-rising in the country, too.

Realtor.com examined the 300 largest metropolitan areas to find out which cities had the largest growth in sale prices over the last four years. Boise topped the list.

The Idaho Statesman reports Boise’s home sale prices rose by 72% in those four years.

In January 2017, Boise houses sold at a median price of $224,000. In January of 2021, the median was $385,000.
