Idaho Lottery “Scratch for Schools” hosting Treasure Valley Schools fundraising event

The Idaho Lottery’s yearly fundraiser “Scratch for Schools” is hosting 150 Treasure Valley Schools for a fundraising event.

Schools across Idaho will gather for a hectic fundraising challenge again today. Each school is given an entire pack of Idaho Lottery scratch tickets and five minutes, and whichever schools scratch the most tickets they will earn bonuses and compete in a finals round.

CBS 2 reports, during each event, Idaho Lottery estimates schools will scratch around $23,000 in tickets.

The money schools earn by scratching will go towards learning materials for the students.

Idaho Lottery is hosting a total of 14 of these events across the state with over 400 schools attending.
