If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you know that Lower Broadway is the place to be. And, it’s about to get even busier because Eric Church is fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a bar owner.

Church and a partner have purchased the former Cotton Eyed Joe building at 200 Broadway and plan to open a six-story bar in 2023. It will also feature a live music venue and a whole hog restaurant run by a James Beard award-winning chef, per Taste of Country.

“I remember driving through downtown Nashville over 20 years ago with a pawn shop guitar, riding shotgun in a beat-to-hell truck just trying to chase a dream,” he told the Tennessean. “Chief’s is the culmination of catching that dream.”
