Ada County board declines option to increase property taxes 3 percent for FY2023

The Ada County Board of Commissioners have declined an allowable 3 percent increase in its 2023 fiscal year budget.

The commission made the announcement on the county website Monday.

Commissioners said online, “Everything is significantly more expensive, from food and fuel to building materials and services we all count on every day. That’s why the Board of County Commissioners made it an absolute priority to establish a budget for FY23 that provided relief but did not add to that burden.”

Next year’s fiscal budget will be officially adopted at its Aug. 16th meeting.
