In an Instagram Story posted on Friday (June 20), Kacey Musgraves revealed that she is recovering from a broken rib sustained in a fall while in Mexico. She shared an x-ray image while recounting the accident: “Wednesday night it was raining and I was running to grab some towels and had an extremely hard fall on some very slick tile. Thankful I didn’t smack my head but I landed very very hard on my back left ribcage and I broke rib number 6.” The country superstar added, “This s— is no joke. I’m in a lot of pain and doing anything is extremely difficult but I’m managing and being well taken care of.” As a result of her injury, she rescheduled her performance at the The Sing For Science event at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville for September 18. Musgraves’ other scheduled appearances, including the Zootown Festival in Montana and Hinterland Music Festival in Iowa, are unaffected by the injury. (Billboard)
