Weiser man will spend 15 years in prison

A Weiser man will spend 15 years in prison after he enticed what he thought was a 15-year-old girl for sex.

Jerry Moore posted a Craiglist ad seeking someone to have sex with. A detective with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children task force responded to the ad, posing as a 15-year-old girl.

During the online communications, authorities say Moore sent numerous messages attempting to persuade, induce, and entice the person he believed to be a 15-year-old child to meet him.

CBS 2 News reports, Moore also requested the 15-year-old produce and send him videos and images that were inappropriate. On three occasions, Moore sent explicit images of his genitalia to the undercover detective.

He was later arrested when he showed up to a house to meet the 15-year-old. After his prison sentence, Moore will have to serve 10 years of supervised probation.
