Idaho unemployment numbers are down again for April

 

Idaho has now spent 17 consecutive months with an unemployment rate under 3%

The Idaho Department of Labor says the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped slightly to 2.8% in April.

Idaho’s labor force participation, meaning people older than 16 working or actively seeking work, is at 63.9%.

There are currently slightly fewer jobs available in Idaho. According to the news release, 27,948 jobs are posted online across the state, opposed to 29,612 a year ago.

The Idaho Press reports, Idaho’s unemployment rate is nearly a full percent below the national average. Nationwide, the unemployment rate sits around 3.6%.
