Idaho Amber Alert victim and suspect found in Arizona

We have an update for you on Monday’s Amber Alert that was issued for a 17-year old girl from Jerome who was apparently kidnapped from her job Sunday.

Police in Surprise, Arizona announced early this morning (Tuesday) that the girl has been found.

Sandra Rios-Chavez appears to be unharmed, and is waiting to be reunited with her family.

Meanwhile, the suspect in her disappearance, identified as Miguel Rodriguez-Perez, was taken into police custody.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the suspect’s phone pinged in Kingman, Arizona, which led to an Amber Alert activation in Arizona. Officers in the area investigated and located the vehicle. There was also a short pursuit that ensued before the vehicle was abandon, and eventually both the suspect and victim were located.

There is a past history of domestic violence and a current no contact order in effect against Miguel Rodriguez-Perez. He will most likely face kidnapping charges, but other charges are also pending.

We will bring you an update when more information is available.
