Tuesday saw competing rallies going on at city hall in Boise.

One of the groups was rallying for Black Lives Matter, who was rallying to defund the police. The other group of counter-protesters, message was “Defend not Defund,” started at the Statehouse and made their way over to city hall.

BPD say the interactions between groups were spirited with several fights broken up by on scene officers. No arrests were made.

Capitol was shut down between Main and Idaho in front of City Hall for about three hours.
