Idaho housing authorities receive $1.1 million in funding

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development said Monday that Idaho housing authorities have received $1.1 million in funding to assist during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HUD says the the funding will be used to help low income families using House Choice vouchers.

CBS 2 News reports, the funding was made available via the CARES Act signed into law March 27.

The Idaho housing authorities receiving funding are Boise City Housing Authority, Housing Authorities of the City of Pocatello, Southwestern Idaho Cooperative Housing Authority, Ada County Housing Authority, and the Idaho Housing and Finance Association
