Boise School District Trustee Andy Hawes to resign

The Boise School District Trustee, Andy Hawes, announced his resignation on Monday.

Hawes will finish out in June and will be moving to Gig Harbor, Washington.

Trustee Hawes says he will be moving as a result of a job relocation. The advance notice is to give the Board plenty of time to plan for the appointment process.

Hawes was appointed by the Board in 2021 and was elected to a four-year term in September 2022 with 70% of the vote.

More information regarding the appointment process for a new Trustee will be available following the Board of Trustees official acceptance of the resignation in June.
