Broncos’ 2023 Football Schedule Finalized

The national television packages for the Mountain West, Pac-12 and American Athletic Conference were announced Wednesday, cementing dates for the Boise State football team’s 2023 schedule.

Boise State’s 10 MW-controlled games will air on either CBS Sports Network or the FOX family of networks (FOX, FS1 or FS2). The Broncos’ season opener at Washington is set to air on ABC. The broadcast details for Boise State’s game at Memphis have yet to be announced.

The nonconference tilt against the Huskies, Saturday, Sept. 2, will kick at 1:30 p.m. MT.

Boise State’s matchup at San Diego State, previously announced as having moved to Friday, Sept. 22, is slated for 8:30 p.m. MT, and will be broadcast on CBSSN.

Additionally, included in the MW schedule announcement was one additional game that will shift to Friday – Boise State’s regular-season finale against Air Force. The Broncos and the Falcons will kick at 2 p.m. on FS1.

As it stands, 2023 marks the first time Boise State will play just two non-Saturday games since the 2012 season. The Broncos boast an all-time record of 41-12 in regular-season Friday games (.774).

Boise State welcomes UCF to The Blue for its home opener, Saturday, Sept. 9 at 5 p.m., and the game will air on FS1.

Three additional Bronco home contests – North Dakota (Sept. 16), Wyoming (Oct. 28) and New Mexico (Nov. 11) – will also air on the FOX family of networks.

Boise State hosts North Dakota for a 10 a.m. matchup on FS1, while the networks and kick times against Wyoming and New Mexico will be determined at a later date. The kick determinations are generally made within a 12-day window, though a six-day window is also possible.

San Jose State comes to Boise, Oct. 7. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will air on CBSSN.

Boise State’s remaining conference road games at Fresno State (8 p.m. MT) and Utah State (5 p.m.) will air on CBSSN, while the Broncos’ game at Colorado State will be broadcast on the FOX family of networks at a to-be-determined time.

Boise State enters the 2023 season with a streak of 25-consecutive winning seasons (1998-2022), tied with Florida (1988-2012) and Virginia Tech (1993-2017) for the 11th-longest streak in Football Bowl Subdivision history. The streak is the longest by a school in the Group of Five all-time.

The Broncos have also achieved bowl-eligible status each of the last 25 years, the third-longest active streak in the country and trailing only Ohio State (34) and Georgia (26).
