There was supposed to be a protest at the Caldwell High School football game this Friday night over the school district mask policy – following last week’s confrontation with Ammon Bundy. It appears that protest may not happen now.
The Caldwell High School football team forfeited its game against Bishop Kelly on Friday due to over half the team being ineligible.
The Cougars notified Bishop Kelly High School Wednesday that it would cancel the scheduled varsity football game at Caldwell. Bishop Kelly will be given a win.
Last Friday’s football game against Emmett was also canceled, in part because Ammon Bundy was in attendance and refused to put on a mask.
The protest this Friday was to be held by the group “People’s Rights” who say on facebook, they want to peacefully protest, saying Discrimination & Personal Rights Violations will not be tolerated by the community.
